Trainee Attendance Policy

• Trainees are required to attend at least 80% of CREATE BioActives activities. 

• If attendance drops below 80%, the trainee and supervisor will be advised that the trainee is being placed on 3 months’ probation. 

• Should the attendance record not increase to 80% or greater at the end of 3 months, funding will be cancelled. Extenuating circumstances will be taken into consideration by the Training Committee. 

• Any planned absence must be discussed in advance with the trainee’s supervisor and the program coordinator.

• Un-discussed absences will be followed up by the program coordinator and absence reports will be sent to the supervisors.
